Synchronization is used for updating the campaign data and recipient groups between MyCashflow and Campaign Monitor, so that the subscriber and campaign details that are used by the two services are up-to-date. Carry out the synchronization process anytime you're about to send out a new email campaign.
You may also want to synchronize data whenever you make changes to campaigns or recipient groups. In this way you can be sure that you're sending the campaign message to the right recipients and that you're not sending the same message multiple times.

Synchronizing recipient groups
Email campaign recipient groups can be managed both in the MyCashflow admin panel and in the Campaign Monitor admin panel. During synchronization you can set a MyCashflow customer group to receive messages via the selected Campaign Monitor recipient group.
In the settings for the Email Marketing extension, you can synchronize customer groups with the desired recipient groups.
