With the Facebook extension, you can enable multiple useful Facebook features that make advertising your online store in social media much easier.

Features

With the Facebook extension, you can enable the following features:

  • the Facebook like and share buttons (this requires implementation in the store theme)
    • The Facebook share button can also be implemented by using the Share Buttons extension.
  • The Facebook tracking pixel
  • The Facebook product index for advertising your products on Facebook

Support for the use of tracking pixels and product catalogs will be removed from the Facebook extension on June 11, 2024.

In the future, you will have access to Facebook's conversion tracking and product feeds through the Product Feeds extension.

Extensions are not available in MyCashflow Free plan.

Pricing

Using the service is free of charge. However, publishing advertisements on Facebook is subject to charges. To find out more about the applicable charges, go to Facebook's website.

Installation and setup

  1. Optionally, in the Facebook extension's settings, indicate the details of your Facebook page.
    • Facebook page URL (optional). If your company doesn't have its own Facebook page, leave this field empty.
    • Comma-separated IDs for the admin accounts that are used for managing your store's Facebook page (optional)

    • The admin account IDs are required if you'd like to publish updates on the products that the user shared or liked (for example).
  2. Save the settings.
