With the extension, you can connect your online store to the services of the Posti warehouse logistics. This enables you to outsource the maintenance of your online store's stock and shipping processes to Posti.

  • When the extension is in use, Posti maintains the online store's stock.
  • The details of the orders placed by customers are automatically transmitted from the online store to the GLUE system.
  • The stock balances of the products are managed in GLUE (however, the extension does not provide complete GLUE integration as it only works with the Posti warehouse services).
  • Posti handles collection, delivery, and possible returns based on order details.
  • The service includes a logistics integration, which allows you to offer your customers services by several other logistics companies too (e.g. Matkahuolto, DHL, PostNord).

Pricing

The use of the integration is free of charge, but you need to make an agreement with Posti regarding warehouse and transportation services, which specifies the costs.

Installation and setup

Enabling the extension involves the following stages:

  • Subscribing to the Posti warehouse services
  • Correcting duplicate product numbers
  • Installing the extension to the online store
  • Creating shipping methods that use the integration

1/4: Subscribing to the service

First, register as a customer of the Posti warehouse logistics service on Posti’s website.

After registering, you will receive the necessary credentials from Posti to activate the integration.

2/4: Check the product numbers

The integration only synchronizes products that have a product number, so you should check these in time to avoid future problems with synchronizations.

The easiest way to find and update any products without product numbers is by using CSV tools.

3/4: Installing the extension

  1. Back in MyCashflow's admin panel, go to Account > Apps > Posti warehouse services.
  2. Enter the credentials you received from Posti on the settings form.
  3. Enter a suitable value in the field for Order creation delay in minutes.

    This setting defines the delay after which product information and orders are transmitted to the GLUE system.

    With a value of 0, the data is transferred immediately.

  4. Save the extension's settings.

After the implementation of the extension, the integration will transfer all products with a product number to the GLUE service.

4/4: Defining shipping methods

When the integration is in use, you can configure the shipping methods that use the Posti warehouse services integration.

It is not possible to use other logistics integrations.

The transfer of order information to Posti's GLUE system is only possible through the Posti warehouse services integration.

However, services by other logistics companies besides Posti are also available through the extension.

  1. In the admin panel, go to Settings > Shipping methods.
  2. Start creating a new shipping method on the admin panel page Settings > Shipping methods.

    The shipping service selection page opens.

  3. In the Shipping labels section, select your desired parcel service from the Posti warehouse services menu.
  4. Define the shipping method settings.
  5. Define the shipping method's weight limits and shipping costs.

In the same way, you can add other parcel services that are available through the Posti warehouse services integration.

Data synchronization

Product information:

  • Every 15 minutes the integration performs a two-way update between the GLUE system and MyCashflow for products that have a product number.
  • Product updates are displayed in the stock history.

Order details:

  • The transfer of new orders MyCashflow > GLUE after a delay specified in the extension settings.
  • The transfer of order statuses GLUE > MyCashflow every 15 minutes.

Managing product information

When you use the Posti warehouse services in your online store, it is advisable to manage product information (e.g., product descriptions and images) in MyCashflow for clarity. On the other hand, changes in balance for the products are made in GLUE.

This is how you add products to the stock:

  1. Log in to the GLUE service.
  2. Go to the GLUE Products page.
  3. Add the product to the purchase order by pressing the button next to it.
  4. Press the button on the top bar.

    The purchase order form opens.

  5. Fill in the required information on the form and save the purchase order.

The product balances will be updated to the online store during the next synchronization.

Order processing

When the Posti warehouse logistics are in use in the online store, the processing of orders differs from normal as follows:
  • The integration synchronizes orders between the online store and GLUE.
  • Posti handles the processing and shipping of orders.
  • Address cards cannot be printed from the online store’s admin panel.

When an order is placed in the online store, it is automatically transferred to the GLUE system after a delay specified in the extension settings.

You can also manually transfer orders to the GLUE system by pressing the Create order to external warehouse button above the shipping list on the order page.

You can edit the order in the online store’s admin panel before it has been transferred to GLUE.

When the order has been transferred to GLUE and Posti starts processing it, the order goes through the following statuses:

  • Created: The order can no longer be edited in the online store’s admin panel. Normally, the order only has this status for a moment, and it is not visible in the online store’s admin panel.
  • Submitted: The order has been forwarded for processing in the Posti system. It can no longer be edited or canceled in MyCashflow; cancellation can only be done in GLUE.

    If the order has progressed beyond this status, it is likely that it cannot be canceled, but you can still send a cancellation request.

  • Picking/Packing: The order is being collected in the warehouse.
  • Shipping: The order has been handed over to the carrier.
  • Delivered or Delivered Partially: The order has been delivered to the customer.

The numbering of orders in GLUE is of the model TILAUSNRO-LÄHETYSNRO (e.g. 292-15128).

Returns

If customers return orders, they will be brought back to the Posti warehouse. The information about returns is not transferred to the online store’s admin panel, but you can find it in GLUE.
