If your store has multiple versions, you can set the visibilities of your store's contents (products, product categories, etc.) differently in different versions.

Visibility can be defined for the following types of content:

If your store has multiple versions, the forms of the contents listed above include the version selector, which you can use for selecting the versions in which the contents should be visible.
The contents hidden in a version won't be displayed in the store's menus or navigation lists, but they will be still accessible via direct links – with the exception of products. When customers try to access a product that is hidden in a version, they will be shown a notification saying that the page was not found:

Copying visibility settings between versions

You can copy visibility settings of contents to unify the visibilities of contents in different versions.

Here's how you can copy visibility settings between versions:

  1. In the admin panel go to User interface > Versions.
  2. Select Copy version visibilities from the Tools menu in the left-hand column on the page.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select the source version (from which you want to copy visibility settings) and the target version (to which you want to copy them). Click Copy.

The dropdown menu Visibilities to copy opens. All of the contents are selected by default, which means that the visibilities of all contents in the target version will be affected.

  4. Remove the selection from the items whose visibilities should remain unchanged in the target version.

For example, by keeping the Products item selected but removing the selection from Payment methods and Shipping methods, you can make all the source version's products visible in the target version too but maintain the target version's original visibilities as regards the payment and shipping methods.

  5. Press the Copy button at the bottom of the dropdown menu.

The visibility settings of selected contents in the target version are updated to match those of the source version.
