There are three types of checkout solutions that can be used in MyCashflow online stores. This article describes the functions of different checkouts and provides instructions for implementing checkout options in the store.
Checkout basics
The checkout steps of an online store can generally be divided into six stages:
- logging-in
- entering customer and address details
- shipping method selection
- payment method selection
- order preview
- order confirmation.
MyCashflow has 3 different checkouts:
- MyCashflow's single-page checkout, where all checkout steps and forms are located on the same page.
- MyCashflow's multi-page checkout, which is divided into several pages (entering customer information, selecting the delivery method, etc.).
- Klarna Checkout checkout, where you can use any of Klarna's payment services. Requires the Klarna Checkout payment service to be enabled in the online store.
The checkouts are version-specific, meaning that different versions of the online store can have different checkouts in use.
If you sell products face-to-face in addition to online, you should consider a point-of-sale system that integrates with your online store. A secure and hassle-free solution is MyCashflow Cashier, built into the e-commerce system.
Enabling checkouts
MyCashflow's own checkout must be implemented in the store theme before it can be used in the online store. The theme must include the templates and settings for all checkouts that should be enabled in the store.
For instructions on how to implement different checkout types in the store theme, see the MyCashflow designer guide.
In the store version, the enabled checkout is shown in the version settings in the section .
