Here you can learn how to add and edit store versions in your MyCashflow online store.

The store version limit depends on your MyCashflow plan:

  • Free: 1
  • Basic: 2
  • Advanced: 5
  • Pro: 10
  • Enterprise: 20 (if necessary, the maximum quantity can be increased)

To create a new store version:

  1. In the admin panel, go to User interface > Versions
  2. Press the New version button under the left-hand Versions menu.
  3. Fill in the version's details in the form.
  4. Save the form.

To edit an already existing store version:

  1. Press the version name in the left-hand Versions menu.
  2. Press Edit in the upper right corner of the version details.

If you'd like to set all your store's products as visible in the new version, use the Copy version visibilities functionality in the left-hand pane.

Store version settings

This chapter introduces the version form settings.

General version details

  • Version name is mandatory.
  • Language version: When you create a store version with a new language, the language will be added to all translatable content fields and to the dictionary.

You can create multiple store versions in the same language, but you can only provide one translation into that language for each piece of content.

Learn more about language support and how to translate your online store's contents.

  • URL address:

If you have obtained a custom domain, enter it here to be able to access the store version at the address you indicate.

You can also indicate a subdomain owned by you as the version's address. For more information, see: Creating subdomains.

For instance, you can create a new subdomain for development purposes by using your store's default domain STORENAME.mycashflow.fi. In the field, enter the desired subdomain in the format SUBDOMAIN.STORENAME.mycashflow.fi.

  • SSL encryption:

If you've ordered an SSL certificate, select the option Use SSL. When encryption is enabled, your online store can be accessed with a https:// URL.

If you haven't ordered an SSL encryption and a custom domain for your online store, do not check the option to use SSL. Otherwise, visitors won't be able to access your store at all.

Store theme

  • Store theme: the menu displays a list of themes whose theme folders can be found in your online store's file directory. MyCashflow recognizes theme folders automatically.

Find out more about store themes.

  • Checkout type:

In the multi-page checkout, the checkout process is divided into several stages, each of which is performed on a separate page.

In the single-page checkout, all order details can be edited on the same page during the checkout process.

Find out more about the online store checkout.

  • Email theme: the email theme defines the design of the emails sent from the online store. The menu lists all email themes that can be found in the online store's Email theme directory.

Find out more about email themes.

  • PDF theme: the PDF theme defines the structure and appearance of the store's PDF printouts. The menu lists all the PDF themes that can be found in the online store's themes/print directory.

Find out more about PDF themes.

Additional version settings

Additional settings overwrite the online store's general settings. If, for example, you set a different email address for the version than in the general settings, order notifications will be sent to the address you have specified for the version.

  • Store email: the email address used for sending and receiving notifications from the online store, e.g. during order processing.
  • Minimum order: if you set a minimum order limit for the version, the order total will have to comply with it. Otherwise placing the order won't be possible.
  • Close temporarily: close individual versions to visitors just like the whole store on the page Settings > General settings. For store versions that have not yet been published this is not available. By default, store versions are closed until they are published for the first time.
  • Range of Products: select the product category whose products should be displayed in the version's product category menu. When you select a product category, the version's product category menu won't provide access to any other product categories. In this way, you can, for example, set resellers' product catalog to be displayed only in the version for resellers.

The selected product category will also be used as the version's front page.

  • Shipping conditions: select the content page that contains the version's shipping conditions. In this way, you can have different shipping conditions for different countries and customer groups. Customers are automatically directed to the version's shipping conditions when they are opened at checkout.
  • Privacy Notice: select the content page that contains the version's privacy notice.

The privacy notice will be displayed in the storefront under the /privacy address.

  • Default customer country: The default country determines the currency in which store prices are displayed.
  • Default currency: Specifies the currency in which prices are displayed when a visitor enters the online store.

This setting is available only if the Currency Converter extension is enabled.

You can also select the default currency in the extension settings.

  • Presentation of prices: If your online store's target audience is resellers, you can display prices excluding tax on the store pages and in the shopping cart by selecting Show prices without VAT. The setting does not affect PDF printouts, where prices are still shown including tax.

Displaying tax-free prices at the checkout requires theme support.

The MyCashflow default theme directly supports displaying prices both excluding and including tax at the checkout.

If you use other themes in your stores, you can display prices at the checkout both excluding and including tax by editing the theme's HTML source code.

Read more about setting up a B2B store.

  • Email Notifications: You can select users who will receive notifications about orders made in the version.

Require login

Here you can require customers to log in before they can access the version and, optionally, limit the version's accessibility to selected customer groups. When you create a separate version for resellers, you may want to require the customers to log in.

If you don't select any customer groups, any customer registered in your online store will be able to access the version by logging into the customer account.

Here you can also provide the terms and conditions for registering as a reseller that will be displayed to visitors who decide to fill in the reseller application.

Contact details

In the store version settings, you can specify separately the contact information that will appear on the version storefront instead of the general settings contact information,

The Country menu in version settings does not affect the store's VAT rates Only one country's VAT percentages may be used in the online store, and they are determined on the basis of the Country menu of the store's general contact detail settings.
