Here you can learn how to create and modify banners in your online store.
Creating new banners in your online store
When you create a banner, you can place it in your desired banner group. You can define a banner group later on or remove a banner from the banner group.
After creating a banner, you'll see in its details the Interface markup, with which you can print the banner at the desired area in the store theme or in a page's content field.

The banner form settings
- Name: The banner name can appear in the store theme e.g. as a title displayed in connection with the banner. (Using the default theme the name of the banner does not appear at all in the store.)
- Show in version: select the versions, in which the banner should be visible.
- A banner group may contain banners that are visible in different versions, which means that banner carousels can display different banners to users of different language versions. It may be especially useful if you'd like to e.g. direct a discount campaign at foreign customers.
- Visibility period: you can set the banner to be visible for a limited period of time. If you leave the end date empty, you can schedule the desired release day for the banner.
- Banner group: select which banner group the banner should belong to.
- Banner: A banner image that typically serves as a visual background for the banner's text content. Check what sizes of images should be used for different banner areas (see the default theme banner size recommendations).
The image appears in the online store only if the banner area's features support it.
- Link URL: You can create a link from the banner image to the address you want.
- Make sure that you enter internal links in the following format: /page/23.
- Text: enter the text that should be displayed in connection with the banner. For example, the banner on the default theme's homepage shows the text above the image.
- Codename: Enter the code name based on which the banner will be displayed in the store theme or in a page's content field.
- Make sure that in your store theme, there is a banner area for the code you enter or that it will be added to it after you've created the banner.
