MakeCommerce is particularly well suited for processing payments in the Baltic states and Finland. Use the service to enable in your store the payment links of Finnish and Baltic states' banks as well as global credit card payments.

Currently, MakeCommerce's recurring payments are not supported in MyCashflow.

The window for credit card payments cannot be embedded in the online store's checkout. The customers are always redirected to a separate payment page instead.

Pricing

Using the service is subject to fees. The service fee is 2.5% + 0.30 € / transaction. Apart from the transaction-specific fee, MakeCommerce charges 10 €/mo. for using foreign bank payments and credit cards.

Installation and setup

  1. First, sign up for MakeCommerce on its website.
  2. Important: make sure that you check MakeCommerce's merchant requirements.

    If your online store does not meet MakeCommerce's requirements, you will only be able to open a test account.

  3. Log in to MakeCommerce's admin panel and copy the service's API credentials (Shop ID and Secret key) from the page Settings > API.

    The Publishable key field is not used for anything.

  4. Create a new payment method on the admin panel's Settings > Payment methods page.
  5. Select MakeCommerce as the service provider and add the API credentials that you copied earlier to the payment method's Merchant number and Secret key fields.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Define the payment method's settings.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Test the payment method.

    To make sure that the payment method is displayed at checkout and works the way you intended, place test orders with different shipping methods and in different versions.

  10. Publish the payment method to make it accessible to everyone.

    The new payment method is hidden by default (meaning it won't be visible to the online store customers and will appear grayed out in the Payment methods list in the admin tool). The payment method is published by activating the Show in selected store versions option under the payment method page title.

The payment method is now ready to be used.

When your customers pay for their orders by using MakeCommerce's services, the payments will be displayed in MakeCommerce's admin panel on the Transactions page.

Payments won't be transferred to your account immediately; instead they will be transferred at regular time intervals to the account set on the page Settings > Settings. The interval for settlement of accounts can be defined here too. A list of all settlements can be found on the page Payouts.
