When necessary, you can temporarily close the whole online store or individual store versions from the public. In such case, customers won't be able to browse your store and will be shown a notification that the store has been temporarily closed.
You may want to close the store or store versions temporarily especially while performing major maintenance tasks in the store or developing a new store theme.
Closing the whole online store temporarily
You can temporarily close the whole store via the admin panel, on the page
.Closing individual store versions temporarily
You can also temporarily close individual store versions from the public.
- To open the selected version's settings, go to [Version].
- To do so, select the option Close temporarily in the settings form. After selecting the option, a text field will appear in which you can write a notification that will be displayed to customers until the version reopens.
- The store version will be temporarily closed to visitors after you've saved the form.
To visit the store version's public area, log in to the admin panel at the version's URL address (e.g. http://www.storeversion-address.fi/flow).
You cannot temporarily close the store or individual version if the store or any of its versions have not yet been published. Learn more about publishing the store
Viewing the closed store
To view the closed store, you must be logged in to the admin panel.
Make sure that you log in at the address that is used by the version that you'd like to view.
If the version's URL address is store.mycashflow.fi, log in at the address store.mycashflow.fi/flow.
If the version uses its own domain (e.g. www.store.fi), log in at the address www.store.fi/flow.
Opening the online store/store versions to the public
Once the store or store version is ready to open to the public, unselect the option Close temporarily in the general or version settings and save the settings form.
The online store opens immediately after the form is saved.
