If you have previously used another ecommerce platform to run your online store, and you'd like to switch to MyCashflow, you can import your online store's data from other services to MyCashflow.
The most often imported types of data include:
- Product and product category data
- Files, such as product images
- Customers
- Orders
Importing the old data to MyCashflow will save you plenty of time and effort while changing platforms.
Some ecommerce platforms use data that aren't available in MyCashflow. So, it may not always be possible to import all kind of data.
Carrying out the import
Data can be transferred between servers in the following ways:
- Often e-commerce platforms contain an export functionality with which the store data can be downloaded in the CSV, XML or XLS format. Many platforms' export files can be imported to MyCashflow with scripts created for this purpose.
- The import can also be done by making a backup copy of the database if representatives of MyCashflow are granted access to the store's database server.
- Some online store services can also provide the store's data in the desired format upon request. When necessary, ask your service provider.
If you'd like to import data from other ecommerce platforms, contact our customer service. We'll let you know as soon as possible whether data import from your previous provider is possible.
Data import from other ecommerce platforms can also be implemented as a custom project, because not all platforms offer export options the products of which could be imported to MyCashflow directly.
