In the multi-page checkout, checkout stages are spread across multiple pages on which customers can provide the necessary details as well as select the shipping and payment methods.

MyCashflow's internal multi-page checkout has been deprecated.

If you want to use multi-page checkout in an online store, you need to add support for it in the store theme.

Implementing a checkout in a theme requires HTML/CSS skills. You can ask our customer service or your preferred web designer about adding the checkout to your online store.

Information for web designers on how to implement the checkout can be found in the MyCashflow theme guide.

Alternatives to the multi-page checkout include the ready-made, built-in single-page checkout and Klarna Checkout solutions.

The multi-page checkout contains the following components:

  1. Login page: If the customer has ordered from your online store before, they can log in at the beginning of the ordering process, and the system will automatically fill in their information at checkout.
  2. Providing customer and shipping details: here customers provide their contact information used for processing the order and, optionally, indicate a separate shipping address for the order.
  3. Shipping method selection: on this page, the customer can select the desired shipping method. Read also how shipping methods are selected for orders.
  4. Choosing a payment method: After the shipping method, the customer can choose the payment method of their choice. See also, how available payment methods are automatically determined for an order.
  5. Order preview: Once the customer has filled in all the details for the order, they will be redirected to the preview page where they can confirm the order.
  6. Payment processing page: If the payment method requires, for example, the selection of online banking or other measures after confirming the order, the customer will be taken to the payment processing page.
  7. Order confirmation page (thank you page): Once the customer has confirmed and possibly paid for the order, they will be taken to the thank you page. Customers returning to the store from external payment services will also go to the confirmation page.

If you or your store theme's designer are implementing the multi-page checkout in the store, see the Designer's Guide for detailed instructions.
