In MyCashflow, the shipping methods available for an order are selected automatically based on certain criteria.

The criteria are explained below:

  • Products' package sizes: every shipping method has allowed package sizes based on which the shipping method is either displayed at checkout or not. If the shipping method allows for the package sizes of all products included in the order, it will be displayed at checkout.
  • The total weight of the order products: for a shipping method to be available at checkout, the order products' total weight cannot exceed the method's maximum weight limit.
  • The customer's country of delivery: shipping methods can be defined on a country-by-country basis. If the country of delivery selected by the customer at checkout is allowed by the shipping method, the shipping method will be available at checkout.
  • Customer group: the use of shipping methods can be limited to selected customer groups. This means that the customer has to log in to see at checkout a shipping method whose use has been limited to the group that the customer belongs too.

All shipping methods that meet the above criteria in relation to an order are displayed at checkout while the customer is placing the order.

Shipping methods cannot be defined for products or product categories; shipping methods available for the order are always selected automatically based on the criteria described above.

If multiple shipping methods meet the criteria and are displayed at checkout, the first shipping method on the Settings > Shipping methods page (or the first available method in order) will be selected by default. This is how shipping costs are calculated for an order before the customer has selected a shipping method themselves at checkout.
