Product categories can be deleted via the admin panel's product category form.
Product categories with subcategories cannot be deleted. You must delete all subcategories first.
Deleting a product category in the admin panel's form does not delete products attached to the category in your online store.
- To open the product category that you'd like to delete, go to the page in the admin panel, and select the category from the list of Product categories.
The category's product list opens.
- At the top of the view, click .
The product category form opens.
- Click the Delete link in the product category form.
