Only one product image can be added to the product at the creation stage. Later on, you'll be able to add as many images to the product as you wish. You can also use images that already exist in your online store's file directory or images from external sources.

The image added in the product form will be displayed by default in your online store as the largest image.

Adding new images

  1. Select a product from the product list on the admin panel's Products page by clicking the product's name.

    The product card opens.

  2. To add an image, click Add product image. Select the desired image(s) from your computer.

    To add an image from another website, click the Add image from URL link. Enter the address in the dialog box that opens.

  3. As an additional option, enter a caption for the image and click Save.

    The image will be added to your online store's file directory and attached to the edited product.

Attaching images to products from your online store's file directory

One image file can be used by multiple products. Also, with the help of the image tools in the product card, you can attach images to the product from your store's file directory:

  1. In the product card, click the Attach images link.

    The image selection window opens.

  2. Select the desired image.
  3. If you'd like to select multiple images, keep the Ctrl key pressed while selecting the desired images, or drag a selection rectangle around them.
  4. After selecting the desired images, click Save selected and close.

    From now on, the images will be displayed in connection with the product in your online store's customer area.

Sorting images

Product images are displayed in the customer area in the same order as on the product card. When you change their order in the product card, it will also change in your online store. In the default theme, the first image is going to be used on product lists and on the product page as the main image.

  1. Grab the icon next to the image.
  2. Drag the image to the desired position on the image list.

Adding captions

If you didn't add any caption to the image when adding the image to the product, do it now:

  1. Open the product's product card. From the image list, select the desired image.

    The image management window opens.

  2. Write the caption in all the relevant languages and click Save.

Deleting images from products

  1. In the product card, click the icon next to the image.
  2. Confirm deletion in the dialog box.

    The action deletes only the image's association with the product, not the image file itself from your online store's file directory.

Deleting image files

When you delete a product, all of its product images and their miniatures are deleted automatically (unless the same product images are used by other products).

When you delete an image, it will be permanently deleted from your online store's file directory. If you may happen to need the image later, make a backup copy of it.

Images cannot be recovered after deletion.

If you are absolutely sure that you don't need the image file at all, you can delete it from your online store's file directory for good.

If the image that you'd like to delete is attached to a product, do the following:

  1. Open the product's card. From the image list, select the desired image.

    The image management window opens.

  2. In the management window, click Delete image.

    Confirm the deletion in the dialog box that opens.
