Payments made via the payment terminal will only be debited from the customer's account when you forward information about the received payments to the Verifone system by using the payment terminal's reporting function.

By default the payment terminal is configured during installation to send its payment transactions to Verifone regularly at a given time, so if the device remains on and connected to the web at all times, you do not need to send the transactions separately.

The payment terminal stores information about the received payments in its internal memory until you forward them to Verifone.

Make sure to forward payment transactions to Verifone regularly.

If the payment terminal breaks down before you forward the transactions, in the worst case you won't be able to debit your customers' payments. Should this happen, contact Verfione's customer service.

Here's how to send a daily report to Verifone:

  1. Keep the payment terminal's 0 key pressed down, and select Reports from the home screen.

The payment terminal will prompt you to enter the daily PIN code to access the settings menu.

  2. Select Send batch.

The payment terminal sends all payment transactions stored in its memory to Verifone's system. At the same time, the software version of the device will be checked and updated if necessary.

After the transactions have been forwarded, the payment terminal prints a receipt with the forwarded data and returns to the home screen.
