The payment terminal of MyCashflow Checkout must be connected to the internet so that it can be used to handle payments. The payment terminal supports WLAN and mobile connections.

Using a WLAN connection

Here's how to connect your V 400 payment terminal to a WLAN network:

  1. Press and hold the 0 button on the payment terminal keypad, and select Settings on the home screen.

    The payment terminal will ask you for a daily PIN code to access the settings menu.

  2. In the settings menu, select Settings > Connection type > WIFI.

    The device is set to connect to WLAN whenever it is available.

  3. In the settings menu, select Settings > WLAN settings.

    You are taken to the network settings menu where you can select the WLAN network and configure its settings.

  4. In network settings, provide the following details for the network you'd like to connect to:
    • SSID (network name)
    • Encryption key (network password)
    • Encryption type (often WPA2-PSK)
  5. Finally, you can return to the payment terminal's home screen.

Once the connection is successful, the WiFi connection icon will be displayed in the top-right corner of the payment terminal's home screen

If the payment terminal is already connected to the MyCashflow point-of-sale system, you can press the network connection icon to connect the payment terminal to the online store.

Using a mobile connection

The V 400 payment terminal supports using 3G and 4G connections. Here's how to connect your payment terminal to a mobile network:

  1. Remove the back panel of the device and enter a SIM card that has internet.
  2. Press and hold the 0 button on the payment terminal keypad, and select Settings on the home screen.

    The payment terminal will ask you for a daily PIN code to access the settings menu.

  3. Select Settings > Connection type > GPRS/3G.

    The device is set to connect to a mobile network whenever it is available.

Once the connection is successful, the GPRS connection icon will be displayed in the top-right corner of the payment terminal's home screen.

If the payment terminal is already connected to the MyCashflow point-of-sale system, you can press the network connection icon to connect the payment terminal to the online store.
