Payments received through the payment terminal are charged to the customer's account only when you send the information to the Verifone system using the payment terminal's reporting function.
By default the payment terminal is configured during installation to send its payment transactions to Verifone regularly at a given time, so if the device remains on and connected to the web at all times, you do not need to send the transactions separately.
Between event transmissions, the payment terminal stores information about received payments in its internal memory.
Make sure to forward payment transactions to Verifone regularly.
If the payment terminal breaks down before you forward the transactions, in the worst case you won't be able to debit your customers' payments. Should this happen, contact the Verifone customer service.
Here's how to send a daily report to Verifone:
When the payment terminal has sent the transactions, it prints the sent information on a receipt and returns to the start screen.
