If your store has products that are not available to all customers, you can restrict them to selected customers by configuring your online store's versions and product categories in the way described in this article.

If your store's product catalog is partially the same for both consumers and resellers, you can hide the products that are intended only for resellers from consumers.

Restricting a product category to a selected customer group

  1. If the selected customer group doesn't have its own store version yet, create it on the admin panel's User interface > Versions page.
  2. In the store version's settings, check the option Require login, and select the customer group for which the version is intended.
  3. Set the desired product category as visible only in the restricted store version.

Now the product category can be viewed only by customers who are logged in and belong to the selected customer group.
